Our school
Himalaya Public School opened in 1998 with 90 students in three grades, on a foothill site off Rajpur Road, Dehradun. Today we are a co-educational day school of about 1,100 students from Classes VI to XII, affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), teaching the ICSE course to Class X and the ISC course to Class XII.
Vision
To run a school where students in their middle and senior years are known, challenged, and cared for, and leave able to think for themselves and stand on their own feet.
Mission
- Teaching for understanding by subject specialists in small sections.
- Sport, music, and the arts given real time in the week, for every class.
- A safe, secular campus where character and service matter as much as results.
- An honest partnership with parents, with regular and truthful reports.
